Gail Moody-Byrd has had a diverse career, encompassing financial services, retail and now technology marketing in the pivotal social media space.
Moody-Byrd (@gailmoody) is a Senior Director of Marketing in SAP’s Digital, Social, and Communities practice. At SAP, Gail is a leader in the integration of social and community strategies into the 2,000-person Marketing organization. During her six years at SAP, Gail has been a member of the leadership team for SAP Community Network (SCN), SAP’s highly engaged online community for SAP professionals. In 2013, Gail received BtoB magazine's Top Digital Marketer Award along with 24 other industry peers.
Moody-Byrd’s most recent experience prior to SAP was as Director of Enterprise Marketing for Palm, Inc, an innovator in the mobile computing space. Prior to that, she held a number of brand marketing and strategic consulting roles in the retail industry with Levi Strauss &Co., Federated Department Stores, Target Corporation, and McKinsey & Company. She earned an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1983 and a B.A. in economics from Spelman College.
She has one son, Brandon, who is ten years old. Her passions are classic jazz and Latin dancing. Gail resides in Oakland California.
